Every team has kids who can lead. Nobody teaches them how.
You can. Fifteen minutes a week in your own locker room, with every session written and in your inbox by Monday morning.
The Captain’s Practice
Twelve weeks. Fifteen minutes each. Free, forever.
Monday morning you get one email. A short piece you read to your team, then a fifteen-minute session you run. No slides, no prep, no travel.
By week twelve they’re holding each other to it, not just you.

What to say on the ride home this week.
Your athlete is good. Good enough that it stings when somebody else gets the C. Most of what decides that happens off the field, and almost nobody coaches it.
Answer five questions about where they are right now. You get three questions to ask in the car, written for that spot. Free.

Twelve weeks
These are the twelve sessions you run, one a week. Every session runs the same way: three minutes to set it up, nine minutes of work, three minutes to bring it home. It ends with one line in their own handwriting, on a card they keep. In week twelve they read week one out loud. Nobody has to tell them whether they changed.
Whoโs behind this
Iโm Mitch Allen. I coach high school football in Cincinnati, OH, played quarterback at Wofford College, and lead people at a Fortune 500 company during the day. I wrote these twelve sessions because high school sports teams spend hours on skill and almost nothing on how to lead a group.
Reply to any Monday email and it comes straight to me.
Toughness is taught.
Bring me to your team
Two and a half hours with your team, in person or on video. Ten to thirty athletes, fourteen to eighteen.
The same material as the twelve weeks, run live, with the parts that need a room done properly instead of squeezed into fifteen minutes. The first hard conversation. The pair work.
The full twelve weeks in one block, plus guest speakers, group projects and the long exercises that donโt fit inside a season.
If neither shape fits, tell me what you're trying to fix and I'll quote it.

Coaching a team, running a club, a parent wondering whether this is for your kid, or an athletic director checking us out โ send a message. It comes to me, and no one else reads it.
